Magnolia Rustica Rubra is quite possibly one of the most popular varieties to be found with its large, richly deep purple-pink flowers with a softer, lighter pink centre from March through to May. These goblet-shaped beauties are great at attracting butterflies and the fragrance is simply mesmerising. Whilst it can ultimately attain much greater heights, it can be easily pruned and generally will reach around 2.5m in height in most gardens with very little maintenance.
