Here at Kelways, we offer an extensive selection of plants all year round, not simply when the plants are "doing their thing". This means that you can take advantage of the opportunity to plant some of them out-of-season in the autumn and early spring, when they will root quickly and give you stunning displays the following season, so whilst they may not look "the bee's knees" immediately when ordering outside of the normal flowering time, you can be assured of an amazing result.
Please note that depending on the season, some plants may be cut-back in their dormancy period as well as when the plant is simply too tall for us to be able to safely pack it. This in no way will detract from it's future performance in the garden.
Whilst we aim to stock as large a selection of plants as possible in the plant centre, not all plants available through the website will necessarily be available in the plant centre.
We work closely with a number of local specialist growers to offer you a comprehensive range of plants to complement the wide selection we grow ourselves on our Somerset nursery.

Some of the larger plants we offer are not available for Mail Order as they are either too large or delicate for us to be able to ship via courier. These plants will be marked as Click & Collect Only. Should you live further afield but would still like to purchase some of these plants, please feel free to contact us and we can look into other options where we may be able to organise delivery to you. Please note though that this may be more expensive or require a slightly longer lead time. Our mail order office is open Monday to Friday 9am-2pm for phone calls. Outside of these hours, please drop us an email and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible. Please note that our plant centre is not able to assist with mail order or website-related enquiries.

Abelia 'Edward Goucher'
A graceful, arching, evergreen shrub bearing pale pink flowers from midsummer to autumn. Best planted in a sheltered position whether against a wall or with other shrubs that will provide shelter from cold, drying winds.

Abelia x grandiflora 'Kaleidoscope'
A semi-evergreen shrub of compact, rounded habit with arching branches of glossy, yellow-green foliage turning orange-red in autumn. In summer it bears small, trumpet-like, fragrant white flowers opening from pink buds. Abelias will benefit from being grown in a sheltered site, protected from strong, drying winds and the harsher frosts.

Buxus sempervirens
A slow-growing, evergreen shrub which makes an incredibly versatile garden plant. It's tight habit allows for it to be clipped easily either to form a formal, low hedge or into topiary shapes. It is happy growing in full sun, though with dry soil as well this can lead to leaf scorch, so regular watering would be recommended in such a situation. It will also benefit from a good foliar feed to encourage the leaves to maintain their deep green colour.

A large, bushy, deciduous shrub producing clusters of small, pale purple floers in summer followed by almost metallic, purple berries in autumn.
Callistemon 'Inferno'
An Australian shrub with stiff, evergreen leaves producing deep-red, bottlebrush flowers in late spring and summer and glowing orange foilage in autumn.
Callistemon citrinus 'Splendens'
An upright evergreen shrub with slender, arching branches and stiff, narrow leaves. In spring and summer it bears bright red bottlebrush-like flowers. Best grown in a sheltered position or in a container in frost-prone areas so it can be overwintered in a cool greenhouse.

An Australian evergreen shrub with fragrant, narrow, lance-shaped leaves producing prominent, bright pink bottlebrush-like flowers in summer and autumn.

A multi-stemmed shrub with arching branches with oval leaves and aromatic bark producing lightly-scented, 300wine-red flowers in summer with a touch of cream at the centre.

Camellia japonica 'Brushfield's Yellow'
An upright, evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green foliage and in winter and spring, bearing double, creamy-white flowers with a yellow centre. Camellias are best grown in a sheltered position to prevent frost damage to the buds, and need to be planted in slightly acidic soil or ericaceous compost if planted in pots.

Camellia japonica 'Margaret Davis'
An upright, evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves and bearing ruffled creamy-white flowers edged raspberry-pink from late winter into spring. Camellias benefit from acidic soil but can be happily grown in containers using a good ericaceous compost. They are best grown in a sheltered position, protecting them from the cold, winter winds which may damage the foliage and buds if they are too exposed.
