An interesting plant whose silvery green foliage makes an excellent foil for other plants in the border. In summer it bears very small, almost insignificant yellow flowers. All parts of the plant should be considered poisonous, but it also a useful plant to deter many pests from the garden as slugs and snails as well as many other insects particularly dislike this plant, so a few sprigs of it, snipped off and placed discretely around the garden can help deter them.
