Asplenium scolopendrium (2 litre pot)
A handsome, evergreen fern with glossy, wavy fronds unfurling in spring. A great fern for the edge of woodland areas and in a shady mixed border, which will tolerate dry soils once it has established.
Athyrium filix-femina (3 litre pot)
Large feathery fronds giving a very graceful appearance. This hardy and wonderful deciduous native fern will grow up to around 90cm in a good position. Prefers sun or shade, and likes moist soil conditions.
Athyrium niponicum var. pictum (3 litre pot)
One of the most recognizable and popular of all ferns. Grey green and purple fronds, and a neat growth habit up to 45cm in height and spread. Best in shade, but tolerates sun if planted in moist soil. Deciduous. Note that younger plants will not develop the full patternation until they are slightly more established, and the patternation will be stronger in a little more shade than it will in a sunnier position.
Blechnum spicant (3 litre pot)
Native evergreen fern. Narrow lance shaped fronds growing form a central crown. Thrives in a shady spot but must have an acidic soil to really do well.
Cyrtomium fortunei (2 litre pot)
Attractive fern with broad fronds which are mid green in colour and matt in texture. A hardy evergreen which will thrive in part or full shade and most soil types so long as it is not to dry.

Matteuccia struthiopteris (3 litre pot)
